A-Z Challenge Update

Blogs I have visited so far: #1 - #454
My plan is to visit all of them, but man, really? People are still signing up and there are over 1,200 and still counting!

This includes #453 who just did a post for "D is for Death." I'm finding a lot of interesting people out there.

Number of new followers I've gained since signing up for the challenge: about 30

Number of blogs that I've added to my followers list since I joined the challenge: 32

Number of blogs I'm following that I'm actually reading: all of them.

My method is to read the posts in google reader. So if I get behind, you may get a comment from me on a post you did a couple weeks ago. Hope you don't mind.

How are you doing with the challenge? Meeting new bloggers?

Suggestions for next year:

Find a way to delete bloggers from the list whose blog link just doesn't work. I've found at least half a dozen like that.

Maybe group the blogs by category, such as writers, or more specifically, science fiction writers, artists, moms (or families). Just a thought.

I'm enjoying this. Are you?

Good suggestions I think. On the other hand, going potluck without categories and just figuring out what these blogs are about has its charm too.

Several seem to be spammers, though, and deserve to be kiboshed. :(

I'm not participating... But it looks like fun (I know I'm enjoying yours!)

p.s. I already was following you :)

I don't think I'll find the time to visit them all (I wouldn't get any writing done all month if I tried).

You're a brave woman for even trying! :-)

Hey Suzanne - I'm amazed how many new followers the A-Z challenge is getting me. I'm actually having problems keeping up with all of them, although I haven't attracted as many as you. Thanks for visiting my blog a couple of times, I'll aim to get out there more and read some more, although D for death is off my list.

I'm having a blast with A-Z. I agree with Chris... can the spammers at least.

I've gotten lots of new followers too, which is wonderful.

Hi Susanne .. I have to say I haven't quite worked out how Follow, Reader and you've added to your followers list - is this in Blogger .. work easily ..

I just ended up with way too many & had a deletion episode yesterday .. it's now trying to rationalise the ones to keep up with .. and how spasmodically to do so ..

I too enjoy the lucky dip approach - but could do without some, and could do with knowing if they're going to participate .. but so be it - we're human!!

Cheers Hilary
